Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the iHoro service (the ihoro.net website, the @iHorosbot bot and the Telegram app) handles your data. By using the service you agree to it. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What data we process
What you enter yourself.
- For a natal chart: a name (or nickname), date, time and place of birth, and optionally your gender. If you do not know your birth time, you do not need to enter it.
- Messages to support: the text and any screenshots you attach.
- Settings: language, the hour of your daily forecast, your device time zone.
What we receive from Telegram. Your numeric Telegram ID, language, profile name and @username if you have one. We do not receive your phone number or contact list.
What is created while you use the service. Your saved profile and chart, the readings you ordered and their texts, your daily forecast subscription, forecasts sent to you, days of activity, the source of your visit (a tag in the link you came from), payment records for Stars (order number, number of Stars, payment identifier), and gift cards (code, buyer, who activated it).
Payments. Payments go through Telegram Stars. We never see or store bank card numbers.
Using the website without Telegram. Calculating a chart in the browser needs no sign-in. Your first chart and chosen language are stored only in your browser (localStorage); we do not see them on the server.
Why we process it
- to build charts, write readings and forecasts, and send them to your chat at the time you choose;
- to take payments, issue Premium and gifts, and refund Stars for readings that failed;
- to answer your messages and protect the service from abuse;
- to understand whether the service works: how many people use it, where they come from, whether they return (aggregate statistics only).
The legal basis is performing our agreement with you (providing the service) and your consent. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell data.
Who receives your data
Only the parties the service cannot run without:
- Telegram — the bot, the app, messages and Stars payments.
- Language-model providers (through our gateway) — the texts of readings and forecasts are written by language models. They receive your chart data: name, date, time and place of birth, planetary positions, language and gender if given. They do not receive your Telegram ID or @username.
- ElevenLabs — voice forecasts for Premium: they receive the forecast text.
- Open-Meteo — city search: it receives the city name you type.
- Cloudflare — the website proxy and a cookie-free visit counter.
- Hosting provider (netcup) — the server the service runs on.
Planetary positions are calculated on our own server; no data is sent anywhere for the calculation itself. We do not share data with third parties for advertising. We may disclose data only on a justified demand from an authority entitled to it.
How long we keep it
For as long as you use the service. You can delete your profile and cached forecasts yourself in the app's cabinet ("delete"), and turn off the daily forecast with /daily. Server logs do not contain names or birth dates. Payment and support records may be kept longer where the law requires it or where a payment dispute needs to be resolved.
Your rights
You may ask us to show what data we hold about you, correct it, delete all of it, restrict its processing or object to it. Write in the bot @iHorosbot: "Help" → "Write to the care team" and say what you need. We will reply and complete the request within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority of your country.
Children
The service is not intended for anyone under 16. If we learn that a child's data arrived without a parent's permission, we will delete it.
Security
The server is protected, keys and tokens are kept apart from the code, and only people who need access to run the service have it. No system is fully safe, so do not enter anything you would not entrust to an online service.
Changes
We may update this policy. The new version appears on this page with a new date; we will announce significant changes in the bot.
